4-H Sewing and Quilting

Welcome to the Kenosha 4-H Sewing and Quilting Program. Here in Kenosha County, the 4-H Sewing and Clothing offers young people a chance to create a variety of sewing and quilting projects and learn many techniques.

4-H Sewing Workshop Dates:

The 4-H Sewing Committee is planning 4 workshops for all clothing and Quilting members. The workshops will be held:

  • February 11
  • March 11
  • April 1
  • May 20

The February 11 workshop will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church (1/2 mile south of Hwy. 50 on Hwy. 45). The rest of the workshops will be held at the Paris Safety Building (16607 Burlington Road) from 11 am to 3 pm.

The workshop will cover basic sewing tools, know your machine and practice on your machine. The target group for this workshop is first and second year sewers but more experienced sewers can always learn something new about their machine and can help a beginning sewer learn to use their machine.

All participants are asked to bring their own machine, manual, thread, scissors and basic sewing tools. **If you do not have a machine, let us know when you register. We have machines available during the workshops.

Please register by February 9, by calling the Kenosha County UW-Extension offices at 262-857-1945 or email: ljmuhlembeck@frontier.com or sew-4-u@hotmail.com.

Please bring your own lunch. Adults are always welcome and encouraged to attend with members.

If you have any questions, call Lila Muhlenbeck at 262-857-7796 or Sue Longhway at 262-537-3122 or email sew-4-u@hotmail.com.
