Horticulture in Kenosha County
Barbara Larson joined the staff at Kenosha County UW-Extension
on June 14th. She is available to answer your home and commercial
horticulture questions. She is also responsible for the Master
Gardener Program and the Field of Dreams project.
Barb comes to Kenosha County from Rockford, Illinois, where
she was the Horticulture Educator for the Unviersity of Illinois
Extension since 1991. There she actively worked with Master Gardeners,
community and neighborhood organizations, and commerical horticulturists
to green and grow northern Illinois.
Larson wrote a bi-weekly garden column and had weekly television
and radio shows in northern Illinois. She is now writing articles
for the Kenosha News.
In additional her undergraduate degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, she also holds a Masters Degree in Horticulture
from the UW. She has taught classes at UW-Madison on woody plants
and propagation. She is a member of the American Conifer Society,
American Society of Community Gardens and Garden Writers Association.
