Local Government

UW-Extension is working with Kenosha County governments to ensure that our communities are aware of funding opportunities offered through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA; also called the federal stimulus). A portion of the spending authorized by ARRA is passed directly to Wisconsin and then distributed to local governments through formula allocations. Other funds in ARRA are allocated through competitive grants.  Because communities across the nation are all seeking stimulus dollars to fund important projects, there will inevitably be more applications for money than funds available. If you’re interested in learning more about the ARRA, please visit: Economic Recovery and Reinvestment in Kenosha County.
