January 2012 Home Lite

What a wonderfully busy start to a new year! As the flurry of the holiday season ends, 4-H activities enter with full force, just look at the January Calendar of events.  There are so many things going on this month and the months to come! Because of this and all of the wonderful events that are happing, please take extra care in reading this issue. 

• Countywide Meetings for many projects begin
• Volunteer Orientation – January 11^th and February 15^th
• 4-H Game Night – January 13^th
• 4-H Quad Project Day – February 4^th 
• Cloverbud Workshop – February 14^th
• New Family Orientation – February 14^th
• 4-H Fishing Derby — February 18^th
  • Kenosha County Pine Wood Derby Race – February 28^th   

There is so much more to come in future months!   Read your Home Lite and check out the 4-H web site for updates, meetings, time and locations.  You can Google “Kenosha 4H” and that will take you to the home page.  Since it is the winter months and nature has a funny habit of snowing a lot, please contact the team chair for the projects if you are wondering about cancellations or check the Kenosha County 4-H web site.  The list of team chairs was in the December Home Lite.
